The TruePhase 1550 Polarization-Maintaining Optical Fibers are optimized for operation in the 1550 nm band which is of interest for usage with premium photonic devices such as phase-sensitive Lithium Niobate Modulators, with Silicon Photonics and as the output fiber in 1550 nm source lasers.

The TruePhase 1550 is available in 2 versions with respect to Optical Birefringence. The standard option (HBL – High Beat Length) is specified with a Beat Length of 3.7 mm – 4.7 mm @ 1550 nm, while the Low Beat Length (LBL) version has a Beat Length < 4.2 mm @ 1550 nm.

The standard option is available with coating having a diameter of 250 µm and 400 µm respectively, both proof tested to 200 kpsi. The improved version can be supplied with a 250 µm or 400 µm coating proof tested to 100 and 200 kpsi respectively.
